Now, however, getting Downtown is nice and easy. It is a beautiful welcoming vibrant business area that others always enjoy visiting.

To preserve Our Downtown; the area was officially designated a Heritage Conservation District during 2013. The District is roughly between just west of Navy Street to Dunn Street, and also just north of Randall Street to Robinson Street.

Revitalizing Downtown Oakville has continued since. This includes updates to Lakeshore Rd and Towne Square. Still ongoing is work on the Downtown Cultural Hub. The Post Office building at Church and George Streets will also be revitalized. Eventually, this revitalization will become part of Oakville's history and add even more value and beauty to our Downtown Oakville.
