Yard Sale
Saturday August 27, (rain date is Sunday August 28)

The snow is gone (for good hopefully), the birds are singing, the flowers are sprouting and a yard sale is being planned.

Please keep us in mind as you carry on with spring cleaning and, if possible, hang on to items for our Yard Sale.

When there are any questions, please contact us. Select Yard Sale on the linked contact form.

Happy spring cleaning!
Some pictrures from our August 2021 Yard Sale. Thank you to everyone that contributed.

Any questions can be directed to information@oakvillehistory.org

Share this with family, friends, and neighbours – COVID-19 protocols will be observed throughout the sale.
The following is guidance for the items we are offering for sale.

Do you have items in storage that need a new owner? Do you love hunting for treasures at garage sales?

You can support us by donating, paintings, jewellery, collectables, linens or housewares. Books of Oakville historical significance are wanted. All other books can be picked up by secondlifebooks.net.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept articles of clothing and magazines. Here is a link to Halton organizations that will accept items not right for the Oakville Historical Society.

In the future, we will be welcoming smaller furniture items such as chairs and tables which can be easily moved by one or two average people. Sorry, large pieces of furniture are too much for us to handle. My Furniture Bank gives charitable tas receipts.

You may still contact us, while our offices are closed and we will respond.

We would love to see you at this fun event! Please pass on the word to friends and neighbours too.

This is a fund raiser to help with all our programs – for example:

Digitization Project
Collection, Conservation costs
Exhibits, Displays,
Thomas House Upkeep
Program equipment and supplies
Library Purchases & expenses
