The Munro Letters
Transcription
France,
June 16.
Dear Mother,
A few days ago I got a letter from you dated May 12th. We had not had much Canadian mail for a long time but it has been coming along pretty well in the last few days.
June 18. Yesterday I got two letters from Bill dated May 20th and 27th. I also got one from you dated May 27th. To-day I got two letter from Des Moines and one from Gerald O'Reilly. There was a box also from you and it was as welcome as usual. The butter was in good shape and the honey was not broken at all.
We are still out of the line & having a good time. I have seen Campbell Broadfoot, Bob Wilson and quite a few Oakville fellows lately but have not seen Brock or Gerald or Art Hellmer.
I always have a hard time trying to write a letter so I had better stop now or I will never finish.
Love to all
Melville.
