A Victorian Christmas Tea

Join us for a Victorian Christmas Tea held in the charming fireplace room of The Cottages at 110 King St., in the heart of Old Oakville. Enjoy the ambience of this historical setting while costumed attendants serve tea to you at small tables, beautifully decorated with white tablecloths and lovely vintage china.

Choose from one of three sittings:

1st Sitting:       11:00am-12:30pm

2nd Sitting:      1:00pm-2:30pm

3rd Sitting:       3:00pm-4:30pm

Location:

The Oakville Historical Society offices at 110 King St.

Enter through the big white gates at the corner of Navy Street and King Street and follow the path to the cottage with the blue door.

Menu:

Orange Pekoe tea (decaf available upon request)

Sandwiches & Savouries:

  • Goat cheese, pecan & cranberry ball on crostini
  • Egg salad mini croissant
  • Cucumber & cream cheese Christmas tartine
  • Salmon salad sandwich
  • Mini quiche

Sweets:

  • Freshly baked Scone with Strawberry Jam and Cream
  • Mini mincemeat tart
  • Shortbread
  • Gingerbread cookie
  • Peppermint mocha bite
  • Chocolate truffle

(Ingredients may include, but are not limited to, eggs, wheat, dairy, and nuts: we are sorry but we are unable to accommodate allergies, special diets, or food sensitivities.)

Tickets:

  • Tickets are $160 for a table of 4*
  • Children aged 10 years and older are welcome with adult accompaniment
  • Ticket sales in advance only
  • No tickets at the door
  • Tickets are non cancellable and non refundable.

*This is a fundraising event for the Oakville Historical Society: in order to maximize our limited space we are selling full tables only.

Before or after your tea, enjoy a self guided walk around the Erchless Estate.

You can also visit the Oakville Museum located in the main house, Erchless, located at 8 Navy St. Opening hours are 1:00-4:30pm.
