Some unsold items will be showing up on kijiji. If there is an item you saw and wish you bought, please let us know. It might still be available.

Find treasures and give back!

Do you have items in storage that need a new owner? Do you love hunting for treasures at garage sales?

Every year in May, the Oakville Historical Society hosts a yard sale for the community with proceeds supporting the Society's fundraising initiatives.

You can support us by donating, paintings, jewellery, collectables, linens or housewares. Books of Oakville historical significance are wanted. All other books can be picked up by secondlifebooks.net.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept articles of clothing and magazines. Here is a link to Halton organizations that will accept items not right for the Oakville Historical Society.

We welcome smaller furniture items such as chairs and tables which can be easily moved by one or two average people. Sorry, large pieces of furniture are too much for us to handle. The Mississauga Furniture Bank wants  large items.

We can accept your donated items at our 110 King Street office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Other times may be available by contacting us in advance.

We would love to see you at this fun event! Please pass on the word to friends and neighbours too.
