Ghost Walkers are all people who go on Ghost Walks with us.

For Questions or help, please mail oakville.historical@gmail.com
Presently, it is too early to determine what limits there will be for Ghost Walks 2022.
Online payments of some scale will continue.
Tentatively we could resume 3 walks per night at previous times. This would be Wednesday, Oct 12 to Saturday, Oct 29, except Sundays. This would be 16 nights again.

Below is information for 2021 Ghost Walks last year.

COVID safety protocols were followed in 2021. These include adhering to physical distancing guidelines, along with wearing a proper face mask covering the nose and mouth at all times.

If the situation changes and a lockdown or shutdown is ordered by the Health Authorities, cancelled walks will be promptly refunded.

Beyond the Ghost Walk leader, only 10 people will be allowed on each of two nightly walks. Our normal walks were from 15 to 20 people per walk.

Ghost Walk guests MUST register and pay online, at least 24 hours before the scheduled walk.

Reservations will not be accepted over the phone, in person nor by email. Form below must be used.

No walk-ins or payment by cash or cheque.

No refreshments are offered at the end of any walk.

For 2022, may our walks return to normal.

Due to construction at the Coach House; walks will begin and end at the Thomas House on Front Street. The address is 144 Front St, Oakville, ON L6J 1A2, in Lakeside Park.

Visitors should dress for the weather (rain/cold) as there will be NO inside access to the Thomas House.

Lakeside Park washroom facilities will be open for Ghost Walkers.

Each walk will accomodate a maximum of ten (10) people.

Ghost Walks are a great way to celebrate Halloween is with a family Ghost Walk. Take an eerie walk back into Olde Oakville of the 1800`s. Be guided by a character from the past who could be a mayor, merchant, ship captain or a Chisholm relative. Each ghost leader shares his or her life and you may meet other ghosts along the way. Interact with the spirits.

Walks last for 1 hour.

Walks require the ability to walk about 12 blocks.

Walks are conducted in English. Other language groups with their own interpreter, may book as a group of 10. Provide name and contact details of the language interpreter. We do have a French ghost to lead a few French group walks. This must be booked well in advance and mention "French Group Booking".

individuals with mobility, language or other issues must contact us well in advance.
We can then discuss whether the special needs can be accommodated.
Please share your reviews and pictures on TripAdvisor and our Website. Reservation changes, comments and suggestions may also be shared using a form on our website.

We bring history alive while preserving & promoting Oakville's heritage.

Thank you to twenty-six volunteer members that bring our Ghost Walks alive this year.

Normally we have about sixty volunteer members. This includes set up, greeters, kitchen help, cashiers, and more. Sign up for a membership and join us. Under interests, select Ghost Walks.
