Virtual Ghost Walk Stories for 2020
Due to COVID-19 risk
Preregister for 2022

Watch and listen to stories from Ghosts

Two Ghost Stories Books are available.

Ghost’s Rock
Unfortunately, we are unable to safely have in person Historical Ghost Walks this year.

So instead we are hosting a “Ghost’s Rock” event and offering other options for the season.

We are encouraging everyone from ages 1- 111 to paint and decorate Ghost Rocks at home. We are providing a few examples.

Of course, any Halloween themed rock would be awesome. Your theme may include any family friendly: costume; pumpkin; or Halloween theme. Please use environmentally conscious, biodegradable materials.
Where Ghost's Rocks go

Please bring your rocks to The Oakville Historical Society at 110 King St.

Please keep to the grassy areas around our offices & our lovely garden @ the back of the offices.

Place your rocks in our garden seen from King Street, beyond (on the other side) of the white fence.

For safety, please keep our paths and steps clear and do not put rocks in the fountain.

For now, you may listen to Tales of Haunted Oakville, from the Oakville Museum.

We plan to post Ghost Videos during October.
Please proceed to add your name to Preregister.

With COVID-19, our next Ghost Walks will take place in 2021.

Lots of planning and other things go into running our Ghost Walks. There is so much uncertainty. The Oakville Centre for Performing Arts is closed until the end 2020. "We can't take the chance of taking out a group that doesn't socially distant or takes off masks resulting in someone becoming infected."

For this year, we do plan to add more Ghost Stories to our website. For now, you may briefly meet a couple of our Ghost Walk leaders.

The Oakville Museum has some stories to share on their Facebook Page.

Normally reservations open online by mid-September. Those that have joined our Pre-Sales list get advance access to online reservations. We will send you updates. Ghost Walks normally from mid-October to October 30.

Walks Nightly at 6:30; 7:15 and 8:00 pm.

NO SUNDAYS

Here's what you need to know:

A great way to celebrate Halloween is with a family Ghost Walk. Take an eerie walk back into Olde Oakville of the 1800`s. Be guided by a character from the past who could be a mayor, merchant, ship captain or a Chisholm relative. Each ghost leader shares his or her life and you will also meet other ghosts along the way. Interact with the spirits.

Walks last for 1 hour. Refreshments and discussions follow.

Walks require the ability to walk about 12 blocks. Walks are conducted in English. Group bookings are for ten (10) or more people. Other language groups with their own interpreter, may book as a group. Provide name and contact details of the language interpreter. We do have a French ghost to lead a few French group walks. This must be booked well in advance and mention "French Group Booking".

individuals and groups with mobility, language or other issues must contact us well in advance. We can then discuss whether the special needs can be accommodated.

Groups are usually 20 participants or smaller. Two groups may go out at the same time.

Light refreshments and discussion are included after the walk. People with food allergies should use their own discretion before enjoying provided refreshments.
Prices have been kept the same for years.

$12 per adult
$6 for children 12 and under
. Up to four children may attend for each supervising adult.
Infants are free.

No pets allowed.
Truly required service animals are allowed. Please let us know in advance if you are bringing one.

All walks must be paid for before the walk begins.
