Bring your family and friends to Erchless Estate and celebrate an achievement in Canadian history. The annual picnic kicks off at 1 p.m. and is hosted by the Oakville Museum in partnership with the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton. The picnic, which commemorates August 1, 1834 – the day slavery was abolished throughout the British Empire, will include a number of fun activities and musical performances.
The Thomas House and the Oakville Historical Society Cottages will be open.
