Jan. 08 Tues.	1 pm	Office re-opens (Tues. & Thurs., 1:00 - 4:30 pm) after Holiday break.
Feb. 20 Wed.	7:30 pm	“*The History of Dr. Anderson Ruffin Abbott*” – The first black doctor to graduate in Canada, he practiced medicine in Oakville for one year. During the Civil War, he became a close friend of Abraham Lincoln. An interesting unknown Canadian hero whose history will be presented by his great-granddaughter, Kathy Slaney. Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street. All are wecome. Admission free.
Mar. 26 Wed	6:30 pm	OHS Annual General Meeting. The general public, members and friends of the OHS are cordially invited to attend. There's a potluck supper before the meeting (bring whatever you like). Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street. May 18 Sun.	1 pm	The Thomas House opens for the Summer season, operating 1:00 to 4:00 pm Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays May to Sept. plus Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August only. The Thomas House closes for the season on Labour Day.
May 21 Wed.	7:30 pm	"Pioneer Cooking" - Dorothy Duncan. Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street. All are wecome. Admission free.
June 08 Sun.	12 - 4 pm	Band Concert - the Society and the Town of Oakville welcome all to a free band concert at Lakeside Park, Navy and Front Streets. Bring a picnic lunch and a lawn chair and enjoy the music of: St. Paul's Dixieland Band - noon to 2:00pm; and Oakville Wind Orchestra - 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Ladies wearing a Victorian hat may win a prize!
